Use the Karasuba-Iro tonsui bowl to serve tempura dipping sauce with a Japanese meal. This style of bowl is also traditionally used by diners to scoop their food into while eating Japanese hot pot. The bowl is a great size for serving individual side salads or pickles.

Karasuba-Iro imeans ‘glossy black’ in Japanese, and this glazed ceramic bowl has a beautiful glossy black and grey speckled surface. Additional red-brown detailing and white sweeps add to the elegance of the design.
