Hot Espelette Chilli Pepper Puree, 90g French Ingredients|Herbs & Spices

Terre Exotique’s espelette chilli pepper purée gives sauces, fish stews and grilled meats a smoky, slightly citrusy flavour. Espelette chilli is a mild pepper from the Basque town of Espelette in the South of France.  

Here, the smoky chilli is blended with vinegar and salt to create a smooth paste – use as a marinade and rub over cod before baking, add to chicken basquaise, sitr a little through softly scrambled eggs, or simply spread a little over crunchy baguettes with salted butter as a luxurious snack.

Terre Exotique works directly with hundreds of specialist farmers and producers around the world – to bring the very best peppers, spices and salts to our tables. The company was founded by Erwann de Kerros, a Breton and seasoned traveller. After tasting pepper in the Penja plantation in Cameroon, Kerros yearned to try other specialist peppers and spices – and Terre Exotique was born.
